Name: Narumi Shogo
Occupation: Hairstylist
Narumi's goal is to defeat his father, and become Japan's top hairstylist. He is the main hairstylist in SP, which is a
club he formed with Ochiai and Kei that aims to become Japan's #1 beauty salon. His dad owns Narumi's Salon, which is
currently Japan's top beauty salon. He does not know how to control his temper, and is not fond of women because of his mom
and younger sister's personalities. He has won every single hairstyling competition for seven years straight because of his
goal to become #1. The only time he has every lost a competition was 10 years ago, when he was beaten by "Girl #17", who
turned out to be Kiri. At the end of the end of the series, Narumi and his friends end up officially opening up their beauty
salon, Scissors Project.
Name: Ochiai Kazuhiko
Occupation: Make-Up Artist
The make-up artist and president of SP. Ochiai is very observative and smart, which is why he is the president of the
club. He is almost like a human computer, having all the information on every girl in the school. He is the middle child in
his family of 5. His family owns a company that sells beauty products, which he uses in SP. Later on in the series, he
develops a crush on Kiri, and tells Narumi that he will not give up on her, even though Narumi and Kiri are together.
Name: Minami Kei
Occupation: Manicurist
Kei is the Manicurist for SP, and is also the emcee for all SP events.
He has a playful personality, and loves to eat snacks. He is more observant than Narumi and
Ochiai give him credit for. Somehow, he is able to know when things happen, even though he is not present at the time, like
how he knows about Narumi's dreams about Kiri. He likes to give his friends nicknames like "Naru-Naru", "Narunin" and "Occhi".
He is always wearing his visor sideways, and does not like to wear his uniform.
Name: Minamoto Iori
Occupation: Aromatherapist
Kiri's childhood friend, Iori is the aromatherapist for SP. He speaks broken Japanese, using random English words in
sentences. He is in love with Kiri's mom, and even proposed to her when he was younger. His dad specializes in creating
aromatherapy oils and perfumes, which is why he is also in the business. He is very affectionate of Kiri, which is why he
normally won't do whatever Kiri doens't. His nickname for Kiri is "Kirity".
Name: Seki Kenichiro
Occupation: Massage Therapist
Seki the massage therapist for SP, and is a childhood friend of Kiri. He acts like an older brother to Kiri, which is
why Kiri calls him "Seki-nii chan" or "Ken-nii chan". His family runs the Seki Clinic which specializes in massages. He is
always seen wearing a t-shirt, even on cold days. Seki likes to apologize to everyone, and has a very relaxing presence to
those around him.
Name: Aoyama Kanako
Kanako is a close friend of Kiri's and admires her talent alot. When Kanako was rejected by Ochiai, Kiri gave her a
makeover to help her gain some confidence. Kanako is quite shy and is a bookworm. Near the end of the series, she ends up
becoming SP's model for the final competition because their original model backed out.
Name: Komatsu Toro
Toro is Kiri's childhood friend. He is a big fan of the Scissors Project, and wants to become a beautician like them. He
is always bragging about his hairstyling skills, but in reality, he has no skills in hairstyling at all. His family owns
the Komatsu 88 Yen Store, and works part-time there. He is usually called "Shimatarou" or "Taro-Tard" by Kiri. Toro is a
very nosy person, which is why he knows all the gossip at school.
