Aria consists of 3 seasons, the first season is called Aria the Animation, the second season, Aria the Natural, and the third and last, Aria the Origination. All of the seasons revolve around Akari and her friends Aika and Alice on their goals to become Primas. This anime takes place in the future, on the planet Aqua, in the town of Neo Venezia, where everything is like another version of Italy.
The first season, Aria the Animation, mostly introduces the characters, and their relationships with each other. It also gives us some basic information on the goal of the Akari and the others becoming Primas. The last episodes of the season show all the characters together for a reunion.
The second season, Aria the Natural, mostly shows Akari and the others practicing their undine skills. Every episode has a different mini plot. Cat Sith also makes many appearances in this season. There are a total 26 episodes in this season, making it the longest season of the three.
The last season, Aria the origination, contains 13 episodes. In this season, Akari and the others are getting very close to their Prima exams, though they don't know it yet. Alice takes the exam first, and passes, then Aika does the exam, and she too, passes. Finally, last but not least, Akira takes her examination, and passes. The season ends with Alicia retiring and getting married, and Ai becoming Akari's apprentice.
Undine levels
Pair- A starter undine. This means that they just started their training. Pairs wear 2 gloves on their hands, and are not allowed customers on their gondolas.
SingleA undine thats got the basics. Singles are allowed customers on their gondolas as long as there is supervision. Singles wear only one glove.
Prima-A professional Undine. Primas wear no gloves, and scull coloured gondolas instead of the plain brown ones that paris and singles use. Primas are the highest level of undines, and their job is to carry customers around Neo Venezia. Primas are also allowed apprentices.
Undine Companies
The top 3 undine companies are the only companies that make an appearance in the anime and manga. These 3 companies are Aria Company, Himeya Company, and Orange Planet. All of the undine companies have a cat with aquamarine eyes as a president, which is considered good luck on Aqua. ALso, each company has their own gondola and uniform colour.
Aria Company
President: President Aria
Uniform/Gondola colour: Mainly blue, and a bit of yellow/gold.
Aria Company is the company that Grandma, along with President Aria, found. Even thought it employs little undines, making it a small company, it remains one of the top undine companies due to the company's history of skilled undines like Grandma and Alicia. It's president is President Aria, a chubby white cat the likes to eat and go on adventures. President Aria as has a crush on President Hime, and his flabby belly is always being bitten by President Maa.
Himeya Company
President: President Hime
Uniform/Gondola colour: Mainly Red, and a bit of purple and gold.
Himeya is the second larges undine company. This was the company that Grandma was first in, until she created Aria Company. This company's current top undine is Akira, one of the three water fairies. It's president is President Hime, a beautiful black cat. President Aria has a crush on her, but she doesn't return his feelings.
Orange Planet
President: Maa-Kun
Uniform/Gondola colour: Mainly yellow.
Orange Planet is a new undine company, but it's currently the largest undine company in Neo Venezia. It's current top undine is one of the three water faries Athena. This company's president is President Maa, or more commonly known as Maa-Kun. Maa-Kun is a small white cat with brown spots all over his body, and very tiny Aquamarine eyes. Alice found him in the streets, and soon he became the President of Orange Planet, since the previous president died. President Maa likes to bite President Aria's belly.
